Dr. Abdolkarim Lahiji, vice president of the International Federation of Human Rights (FIDH) and the secretary of the Committee for Defense of Human Rights of Iran and Ms. Shirin Ebadi, the winner of 2003 Nobel Peace Prize, evaluated the situation of human rights in Iran at a meeting with Mr. Javier Solana, the Secretary-General of the Council of the European Union and the High Representative for the Common Foreign and Security Policy (CFSP), on March 3, 2009.
According to Dr. Abdolkarim Lahiji, the pressures and acts regarding Mr. Peyman Fattahi and members of Ale-Yasin community (and examples of human rights violations regarding this community) by Religions administration of Iran ministry of intelligence were discussed extensively with Mr. Javier Solana. Moreover, the description of these items was reported as one of his general lecture axes.
According to European Foreign Policy website, this meeting took place in Brussels capital of Belgium.
